Coachella Living
Coachella is the easternmost city in
the Coachella Valley in Riverside County. Home to
approximately 25,000 real estate owners & residents, it is 32
square miles. Branding itself as having a small-town
atmosphere with big city advantages, this is dubbed the “City
of Eternal Sunshine.”
Easily accessible from the Interstate
10, and also known as the San Gorogonio Pass, the
Valley’s..... |
.....northwest
entrance is one of the windiest places on earth. Forcing the
cool coastal air through the valley, mixing with the hot
desert air, makes an ideal place for wind-generated
electricity. Huge wind turbines spread across the desert and
hills in the valley and greet residents as they approach the
crest.
Real Estate in Coachella provides the
opportunity to enjoy the amenities of nearby metropolitan living,
while experiencing the rural charm and quality of a small-town
community.
Coachella offers a variety of real estate
along with low cost industrial and commercial land. Their economic
stability is evidenced.....
.....by its
unusually high rate of 60% home ownership, along with extensive
community facilities, services and parks. Single-family homes start
under $300,000 and can go up to $400,000 with hill or mountain-view
real estate, huge lots and exclusive amenities.
The weather is a major plus for its
residents, offering clear blue skies for months on end. In the
winter, it’s a popular resort destination for its moderate 80 degree
temperatures. With more than 350 days of sunshine per year,
recreational hiking and horseback riding are popular in the canyons
and mountains that surround the valley. Hollywood stars and the
working class come together to relax in the dry, warm air and quiet
surroundings, while resort hotels and spas with natural mineral
water wells make it a prime vacation spot.
More than two hundred golf courses blanket
the area, making it one of the world’s premier golf destinations.
The Merrill Lynch Skins Game and the PGA have a major presence in
the area each year. Additionally, residents have access to Las
Vegas-style casinos run by local Indian tribes. The nearby Palm
Springs Aerial Tramway, an engineering feat, takes visitors from the
valley floor to the Mount San Jacinto mountain station 8516 feet
above sea level.
This area relies on agriculture as a main
economy booster, and remains the primary date-growing region in the
U.S. Responsible for nearly 95% of the nation’s crop, the date is
celebrated by the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival
every year. Agricultural products are cultivated here, while the
town serves as the primary shipping point for agricultural goods.
Home to the major springtime event, the
Coachella Music and Arts Festival is known for featuring musical
performances by a number of artists on different stages, showings of
independent films and contemporary art displays. A two day gala,
“Coachella” is considered one of the best music and arts festivals
running today.
Whether it's the diverse recreational
opportunities, the friendly, hard-working people or the beautiful
natural scenery, Coachella and the surrounding communities afford a
quality of life second to none. The combination of small town charm
within a short distance of a clean and lively downtown make
Coachella a great place to call home.
